Hi, I'm Curtis Ortmeyer. I'm the general manager of PestShield in St. Louis. Been with the company for 16 years. PestShield is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. Been in business since 2000. We're in thousands of homes across St. Charles County, St. Louis area and Illinois.
So the tubing system that PestShield puts in the house is installed right about the time electricians are done doing their thing, right before inspections and insulation of the house. It allows us to access the inner walls of your house, basically so each time you don't have to be home to get the service. We can come out, inject from a port box outside. Basically distributes it through the house equally. It shoots a light mist up in between the studs.
We work with all the major builders in the St. Louis area. Every home they build, we put the system in the house at no cost to the homeowner. Basically, when the homeowner moves into the house they have the option to activate the service, and they usually call us as soon as they see some bugs around.
Basically, it's a quarterly service. You do it four times a year. We come in the very first time. We spray out the basement and the garage, remove any webs we see, get rid of any bugs that are in the inside and get them out. We do an exterior full foundation, perimeter, doorways, windows, corners of siding, anything like that. We do the injection of the tubing system throughout the walls, and then we do a granular that comes from the base of the house six to 10 feet out.
In between that quarterly service you have a guarantee to your service. Any problems, anything like that we'll come back, take care of them. You're only on a one-year contract, then after that point it goes quarter to quarter.
Also, if you don't have the PestShield system installed into the home, we do take care of traditional services. Basically give us a call. Works the same way. Just don't have the injection but we'll come out, take care of it, do the basement and garage treatment, do a full exterior spray, lay the granular down six to 10 feet around the perimeter of your house and still have the guarantees with the service.
